My path into creative storytelling has been a little all over the place, but it’s given me a unique perspective on how to capture people and moments.

Back in high school and college, I worked for Chevy, Subaru, and Volkswagen dealerships, photographing cars and creating how-to videos. It was very structured work, but it taught me technical precision, consistency, and how to tell a story visually, even when the subject was a car.

At the same time, I was chasing another dream, wanting to become a pilot. While learning to fly, I was creating content from the air, taking photos of other pilots from the back seat, and documenting flights in ways that captured the excitement of being airborne. That was where I realized I loved capturing moments that felt alive and real, no matter where I was.

I also spent time traveling for missionary agencies, taking photos across the world. That’s where I learned what it really means that a picture is worth a thousand words. I saw images communicate across cultures and languages, connecting people in ways words cannot. Those trips taught me to notice the gestures, expressions, and moments that reveal who people truly are.

Over time, I developed an eye for filmic shots. I aim to create images and videos with a cinematic feel that capture emotion, atmosphere, and story. It’s not about the gear or editing tricks, it’s about seeing the world in a way that translates to moving, timeless images.

Now, I bring all of this together in my work. Whether it’s a wedding, lifestyle session, brand shoot, or podcast, I focus on capturing the essence of who people are and what they care about, creating images and videos that feel real, human, and lasting.

There’s a lot of content out there, and most of it doesn’t stick.
