I had the honor of shooting Kaela and Marquiese’s wedding set in the woods of North Carolina. I met Kaela through her sister, and from the moment I arrived, it was clear this would be a celebration full of personality, energy, and love. Kaela comes from a very large family, so the entire day had a lively, party-like atmosphere.

Marquiese, being a musician, added his own personal touch by writing a song for Kaela, which we incorporated into their video. It was such a unique and heartfelt moment that really set the tone for the wedding story.

He also wanted his groomsmen to have an NBA-style hype video introduction. Capturing that playful, cinematic energy alongside the emotional moments of the day made the video feel both epic and personal. The groom’s suite was an old hunting lodge, tucked into the middle of the woods, and the ceremony took place in a small chapel tucked away among the trees, giving the day a cozy and magical feel.

This wedding was all about balancing excitement and intimacy. From laughter spilling out of the lodge to music, dancing, and heartfelt family interactions, every frame told a story of love, personality, and connection.
